Low-cost UAV Hyperspectral and Multispectral System
As a useful supplement to the satellite remote sensing, UAV-based remote sensing holds many promising characteristics: time efficiency, high resolution, low cost, low loss, low risk of failure, retrievability, etc. Considering that monitoring agricultural land requires a detailed information about the sensitive spectral bands, we designed the low-cost UAV hyperspectral and multispectral system for the agricultural sector through the spectral band selection and innovative R&D of software and hardware. The system plays a significant role in the prewarning, monitoring, and assessment of crop pests and diseases, estimation of crop planting area and growth condition, nutrient monitoring, agricultural disasters monitoring and assessment, applications in precision agriculture, and the survey and monitoring of ecological environment.
