From  April  to  May  2021,  the  total occurrence areas of rust and aphid are estimated to reach 23 million hectares, will mainly occur in India, Russia, United States, Kazakhstan, Canada, Pakistan, Turkey, Iran, Ukraine, France, Germany, Morocco, Poland, Afghanistan, Romania, Spain, Italy, United Kingdom, Iraq and Uzbekistan.

From September to October 2020, desert locusts in Ethiopia were mainly distributed along the western and eastern edges of the northern Rift Valley, and newly harmed about 1544.0 thousand hectares of vegetation area, including 488.2 thousand hectares of cropland, 410.3 thousand hectares of grassland, and 645.5 thousand hectares of the shrub. 

From July to the end of September 2020, Desert Locust in Somalia harmed about 1266.1 thousand hectares of vegetation area, including 2.9 thousand hectares of cropland, 189.1 thousand hectares of grassland, and 1074.1 thousand hectares of shrub. Desert Locust in Yemen harmed about 1157.1 thousand hectares of vegetation area, including 270.7 thousand hectares of cropland, 123.2 thousand hectares of grassland, and 763.2 thousand hectares of shrub.

During September 2020, pest will occur heavier than disease in main rice production countries, the total damaged areas are estimated to reach 20.1 million hectares, mainly occurred in India, Thailand, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia, Pakistan, Nepal, Japan, United States, South Korea, Laos and Iran.

From July to the end of August 2020, the Desert Locust harmed about another 1668.5 thousand hectares of vegetation area in Ethiopian, and about 907.1 thousand hectares in Kenya.

In July 2020, Desert Locust in Pakistan newly harmed about 628.3 thousand hectares of vegetation area, Desert Locust in India newly harmed about 957.7 thousand hectares of vegetation area.
